What levels are welcomed?
All levels are welcomed. We will have separation of participants in two groups - intermediate and late intermediate/advanced group.
-
What do I need to bring?
We suggest packing comfortable pole wear and extra workout clothes if you plan to join any sessions outside of the pole classes. Be sure to bring your grip aids and favorite pole dance shoes & knee pads. You'll also want to include beachwear, sunscreen, and casual outfits for downtime, along with something nice for the welcome dinner.
-
Is transportation included in the retreat package?
Flights and transport from the airport to the hotel the day of the check in and check out is not included. However, no transportation is needed for the length of the stay (unless you plan to participate in outside activities on your own/with a friend). The hotel is beachfront and just a 5-minute walk from the pole studio.
-
Are meals included in the retreat package?
A welcome dinner will be held on the day of check-in. Complimentary coffee and water will be available at the hotel lodge, along with snacks and sandwiches for lunch. Please note that breakfast and dinner (outside of the welcome dinner) are not included. However, you’ll receive a list of nearby restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. The hotel is conveniently located next to a Whole Foods.
-
What activities are there for when I am not doing pole?
Treat yourself to a beachside pole photoshoot with stunning views by @lightandpole (available at an additional cost). Soak up the sun, swim, try paddle boarding, or explore local art museums and thrift shops. Unwind with a massage, relax in the outdoor pool and hot tub, grab a drink at a nearby open-air bar, and connect with others in a laid-back, inspiring setting.
-

- More than 12 weeks before departure: $300 administration fee

We know it’s sensitive, but if you are asking for a refund in an exceptional circumstance, please provide the medical (or other) certificate for your exceptional reason to avoid any awkwardness for anyone or hard feelings!
- If you are unable to travel to your pole camp due to government restrictions (for example, your local area is a declared a COVID-19 hotspot), you will not be penalised, and may use the full credit of your pole camp booking for any other TPR camp or retreat (within 12 months).
-
What level/ group should I be in?
We recommend having some pole experience and don’t suggest this camp for absolute beginners to pole. Feel free to send us your Instagram handle with some recent videos if you are unsure still on checkout and we will place you in the right group with similarly skilled people – this is less about the label – but grouping people with similar skill levels!
- Intermediate Pole Group: You should be able to invert from the ground (inside & outside leg hangs), butterfly, flatline, brass monkey, maybe working on jade/broken doll.
- Intermediate Choreo Group: You should have a good grasp of basic foundation pole moves (spins and climbs), may have a basic/ moderate experience in choreo or heels, may be newer to heels. Does NOT need to invert. May be ready to start learning or advancing on foundations of kips and heels technique/ tricks and other dance styles.
- Late Intermediate/Advanced Pole Group: You should be comfortably inverting aerially (ie aerial shoulder mounts), and handspring/ Aysha from the ground – might be working on aerial deadlifts and other higher level tricks such as flips or more extreme and advanced moves such as dynamic spins (Phoenix) or flexy moves such as BoP/ Deville/ Pegasus. You do not need to be able to do these moves or be a flexy person to join this group – join this group for a more advanced challenging experience.
- Late Intermediate/Advanced Choreo Group: You should be very comfortable inverting on the pole as this will be an advanced choreo group with heels and other styles – should be happy with doing heels tricks such as kips and handstands, and have advanced experience in choreo in different styles.
